Malcolm Winspear Joins Power Freight Systems, Inc. As Chief Executive Officer


SAN FRANCISCO (1-1-2004) — Power Freight Systems, Inc. today named Malcolm Winspear as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). A veteran logistics, operations and supply chain executive, Winspear brings more than 20 years of experience managing fast-growing organizations to his position at Power Freight.

"Malcolm is the ideal person to direct Power Freight’s dynamic growth, as we bring our highly successful model to new markets," said Power Freight President Daryl Miller. "We have built a winning combination of customer service and technological innovation for leading tech and medical equipment companies. Malcolm adds the proven management skills to allow us to extend our offerings to new locations and industry segments."

Winspear comes to Power Freight from Alside, Inc., (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio), a $500 Million manufacturing and distribution firm, where he served as Vice President and Division General Manager. At Alside, he was responsible for logistics, manufacturing, and strategic planning, and achieved major improvements in sales revenues, cost reductions and order cycle times. Prior to that, Winspear worked in Distribution Management at Circuit City Stores (Walnut, Calif.), where he was responsible for service and distribution functions for the retail electronics concern. Winspear also held a senior management position at Merchants Home Delivery Service (now part of Exel Logistics) a leading contract distribution/delivery services organization.
